The Kibbutz Artists Workshop aims to mold a new generation of creative artists and develop a cadre of critical, informed people who appreciate culture.
The workshop is a leading alternative from those available in the current market.
Today, in the world of art & literature the most influential and fascinating creators teach in intimidate groups, with a mutual dialogue between all the participants combining personal experience with contemporary social processes.
The Kibbutz Artists Workshop works within this framework. Due to it's open nature and unique character, the workshop attracts a wide range of students from different social and professional backgrounds. There are the free spirits who dream of becoming the new inspiration of their age. Others, such as those from the free professions, see art as a counter and completing process. And there are the pensioners who come to fulfill past ambitions and hopes.
For the director Ms. Shula Covo, the workshop is an expression of social art.
As an artist and educator, she sees the enterprise as a place for the best and most innovative teachers. There are no selecting exams and the minimum of bureaucracy. Most importantly, the Workshop is both an incubator and a center for new ideas and ambitions. Some graduates continue to art institutes of higher learning, while others become part of the contemporary art scene. And always there are those who see art as adding new values to their quality of life.
